T-90 Neck English Mount

  • T-90 - neck - english Mount

The T-90 is our answer to the traditional P-90 pickup that combines a classic design with a touch of TV Jones sparkle and clarity. The result is a full & fat sound with clear, transparent overtones.

    Tone/Characteristics

The bridge pickup has thicker highs and more defined lows than what is commonly heard from traditional P-90s. We use two Filter'Tron bar magnets, as well as Filter'Tron pole screws and wider pole-to-pole spacing on the bridge pickup. This provides more inductance for a thicker tone and plenty of dynamics. The neck pickup has two thinner bar magnets which contributes to its clarity and warmth. It is considerably less boomy than traditional P-90s.

    Installation:

The English Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for any standard size Filter’Tron style pickups that suspend from rings. It can also replace most humbuckers with the addition of our EM (1, 2, 3, or 4) Ring. This pickup ships with mounting screws and springs for adjustment. To learn more about the English Mount, check out the Tech Specs tab.

  • Output/Power

DC Resistance is not entirely an indicator of true pickup output, although it can be helpful.

    Bridge: DCR - 8.1K / Inductance - 7.15H

    Neck: DCR - 6.7k / Inductance - 5.14H

    Wiring Notes

This pickup is shipped with standard 2-conductor wire.

    Helpful Notes

Filter'tron Replacement: The English Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for any standard size Filter’Tron-style pickups that suspend from rings. Blacktop Filter'trons will require one Dual Screw Mount Adapter per pickup in order to attach to their stock rings. When replacing Broad'trons and Gretsch-Buckers, you will need a new EM2 Ring.

Post-2012 Electromatics: One Dual Screw Mount Adapter per pickup will be necessary to mount our English Mount pickups to your stock ring.

Streamliners: These guitars are made with Gibson-style rings instead of standard Gretsch rings. You will want to choose either our EM1 or EM2 Ring to replace these when installing a English Mount Pickup (this depends on which style you prefer). If you choose the EM2 Gretsch Style Ring you will also want a pack of Ring Risers.

Gretsch 5120/5122: New EM2 Rings and Ring Risers are necessary for this guitar due to it's high neck angle. You can find those in our Products section.

Humbucker Replacement: To replace standard Humbuckers, pair this English Mount pickup with one of our EM1 (Gibson-style), EM2 (Gretsch), or EM4 (Fender-style) rings.

T-90 English Mount

The maker found a niche in the market by making this T-90 available in English Mount for Gretsch PU size, and PU ring for humbucker fitting. This versatility makes one of the cleanest sounding P90 in the market with sweet overtone for other types of guitars.

If someone or TV Jones makes available Strat pick guards for this size PU , there will be great potentials for many TV Jones pickups appearing in Strats; and that's what I am using them for.

T90 pickups

These pickups are GREAT! I love them in my Les Paul. Only problem I had was they sent me the wrong bezel for the Neck pickup. I got a bridge. Other than that everything was great

T-90 pickups - bridge and neck

Pickups sound great in my Gretsch Electromatic Pro Jet; a huge upgrade to a cheap guitar. The TV Jones website had many helpful resources (description/articles to ensure they would fit my guitar, installation instructions, wiring diagrams). I'm no tech and I was able to install myself

T-90 Pickup

Dropped this pickup in neck position with T-Armond in bridge on a Gretsch 5120. Used 500K CTS pots, .022 tone cap. They really compliment each other nicely. Balance well in volume too. Has different sound than TV Classics but still sounds "Gretschy." Get great lead sound and sustain without cranking amp all the way. Highly recommend.
