Saku Vuori played guitar as a kid. Craftsmanship classes are regularly offered in Finland and as a student he discovered he wanted to build a guitar. As his interest in guitar building grew, he enrolled in lutherie courses at Ikaalinen College of Crafts and Design. This was followed by an apprenticeship with a master luthier. In 2008, he combined his education with his love of 1950’s Finnish style and began taking custom guitars orders. Saku enjoys design as well as making noise and dust. He turns these passions into 10-15 made to order custom guitars per year. Saku Vuori continues to play in bands, work as a guitar tech, and teach guitar building classes. These passions allow him to clear his head, have fun, and feel a bit like a rock star.
