Our version of the original DeArmond 2000 pickups are more controlled in the high frequencies, taking away earth shattering ice-pickiness while keeping that "off-the-rails" attitude that these pickups are known for. Of course, at lower gain levels they sing with unmatched fidelity and clarity. This version of the T-Armond with the proprietary T-Series cover makes it easy to wood-screw mount in any standard Filter'Tron cavity. If you have a Pro level or Vintage Gretsch please see the Original Gretsch Mount version of this pickup.
The T-Armonds are in a league of their own with crystal clear highs, bellowing lows, and a tastefully controlled midrange. They perform really well with and without a lot of gain. Some say they sound like tele pickups on steroids.
DC Resistance is not entirely an indicator of true pickup output, although it can be helpful.

The No Ears Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for any standard size Filter'Tron style pickups that mount directly into wood. This pickup ships with mounting screws and compression foam for adjustment.
Note: NOT intended for Pro Series Gretsch guitars (6xxx Series) with Filter'Tron style pickups - see Original Gretsch Mount here.
This pickup is shipped with standard 2-conductor wire. We recommend 500k pots with our T-Armond pickups.
Filter'Tron Replacement: The No Ears Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for any standard size Filter'Tron-style pickups that mount into the guitar body with wood-screws. This includes vintage and modern pro-level Gretsch guitars, Cabronitas, and more!
Electromatics & Streamliners: If you have a Gretsch Electromatic or Streamliner Series guitar then you will need the English Mount - not this No Ears mount.
Pro-level Gretsch Guitars: If you have a pro-level Gretsch you will need to order this pickup in the Original Gretsch Mount.
