T-Armond Bridge - Soapbar Mount

  • T-Armond - Bridge - Soapbar Mount

Our version of the original DeArmond 2000 pickups are more controlled in the high frequencies, taking away earth shattering ice-pickiness while keeping that "off-the-rails" attitude that these pickups are known for. Of course, at lower gain levels they sing with unmatched fidelity and clarity. Tom designed our T-Armond set after Brian Setzer's ‘56 Silver Jet that was used on his Dirty Boogie album. That guitar spent many hours on Tom's workbench over the years.

The T-Armonds are in a league of their own with crystal clear highs, bellowing lows, and a tastefully controlled midrange. They perform really well with and without a lot of gain. Some say they sound like tele pickups on steroids.

T-Armond Bridge

Installed in Les Paul Junior. This pickup made my so so guitar go to the top of the line of my arsenal. Excellent pickup.

Balanced with character

I put a set of T-Armonds in a Yamaha AES1500 that I fell in love with 30 years ago. Over the years I've tried a few pups in the guitar as I didn't care for the Dimarzio Q100's that came stock. I found some success with a pair of VP90's from Harmonic Design but still not the character of the guitar. Lovely pups but a bit too wooly when driven. A little discouraged the guitar spent a few years in the closet. Feeling bad neglecting it I overhauled the electronics and after much investigation ordered a set of the T-Armonds. My my my what a treat. Lots of personality, clarity and push. It's essentially a big fat Tele that crosses genres and decades. The fit and finish of the pups is clean and precise. They fit the soapbar mount perfectly. After playing several gigs I'm satisfied that these are the voice of this instrument. So much so I've been able to reduce some of the clutter on my pedalboard as the guitar needs very little assistance to mix in or stand out. Very happy and it's now my main squeeze.

Amazing pickups

Now that I got a matched pair, I have to install them in my Thinline Jaguar. Can't wait to hear them together. The neck pickup i bought previously is everything I wanted in a pickup.

Super Tone!!

Bought this pickup because I wanted to try something different in my Telecaster, while maintaining the classic single coil sound. The T-Armond superceded all my expectations, and gave a new flavor to my tone; it's open, warm, and articulate as all get out. Undoubtedly, the right choice for anyone looking to take their tone to the next level!

I purchased a set in the P90 mount and they fit like a glove. The tone is outstanding and I love the hum canceling when both pups are engaged. Clear, deep and full of punch.
