T-Armond Bridge DeArmond Mount

  • T-Armond - bridge - DeArmond Mount

Our version of the original DeArmond 2000 pickups are more controlled in the high frequencies, taking away earth shattering ice-pickiness while keeping that "off-the-rails" attitude that these pickups are known for. Of course, at lower gain levels they sing with unmatched fidelity and clarity. Tom designed our T-Armond set after Brian Setzer's ‘56 Silver Jet that was used on his Dirty Boogie album. That guitar spent many hours on Tom's workbench over the years.

The T-Armonds are in a league of their own with crystal clear highs, bellowing lows, and a tastefully controlled midrange. They perform really well with and without a lot of gain. Some say they sound like tele pickups on steroids.

The DeArmond Mount is a direct drop-in replacement for standard sized Dynasonic/DeArmond 2000 style pickups. This pickup comes with two pieces of foam shims for height adjustment. DeArmond Mounting Screws are sold separately if necessary. Please refer to the Tech Specs tab to learn more.

  • Output/Power

DC Resistance is not entirely an indicator of true pickup output, although it can be helpful.

    Neck: DCR - 7.8k / Inductance - 3.38H

    Wiring Notes

    Helpful Notes

Dynasonic/DeArmond Replacement:The DeArmond Mount is a direct drop in replacement for Vintage DeArmonds, Dynasonics, and most other DeArmond 2000 style pickups.

Filter'tron Replacement: If you like the T-Armond sound but want to fit it into a Filter’Tron cavity, take a look at our No Ears and English Mount mount. Replacing Filter'Tron-style pickups with DeArmond Mount pickups is not optimal.

Mounting Screws: DeArmond Mounting screws are sold separately because most people use the ones already on their guitar. If you need new or extra screws, you can find them in our products section.

T armond bridge pickup

Sounds great! Have it along with the neck t armond in my 2003 duo jet 57 reissue. It rocks!

Cleans Up the Sound

I replaced the stock neck pickup in my Gretsch 6128-TSP with the T-Armond DeArmond Mount neck pickup. The stock PU was very muddy on the low end. The new T-Armond cleaned that up. It also boosted the output from the neck PU compared to the original Gretsch PU. With that success, I plan to purchase the matching bridge T-Armond and replace the stock bridge PU. Replacement was a snap as all holes lined up exactly and the new pickup dropped right into the existing PU cutout.

Put in bridge position, original dearmond in neck. perfect match, awesome pickup! Sir Twangalot.

I put a set of T-Armond's in my Fender Telesonic. The stock pickups are not bad, but don't have much character - a bit flat and lifeless. The T-Armonds fixed that. Nice punch on the attack of the note and plenty of twang. A more pleasent harmonic structure to the note than the stock pickups when played clean. Probably the sound Fender was/or should have been shooting for with this guitar. Recommended mod, but as usual wrap up the stock pickups and tuck them in the case.

Yep, there it is.

This is the tone I've wanted for decades. I had the stock dynasonics dialed in to their max potential but the T-Armonds are in another league. No need to adjust the poles on these. Rich, woody clean tones and gutsy when overdriven. They sound so good I can't put the guitar down. This is how tone makes us better players.
